SettlementCalculator.pro started as a spreadsheet Chris Terry built out of curiosity about how insurance adjusters land on a number. The multiplier method turned out to be the answer, and this site is that spreadsheet turned into free tools anyone can run.
Everything here is styled like a docket because a settlement really is a filing exercise. You add up receipts, argue over a multiplier, and a number comes out the other end. The calculators just do that arithmetic faster and show the working behind it.
Five calculators cover the arithmetic people ask about most often: pain and suffering, medical malpractice, FMLA eligibility, Social Security claiming age, and a car accident version of the multiplier method. Ten injury pages translate published verdict and settlement ranges into per injury guidance, from whiplash up through spinal cord injury.
The 1.5 to 5 severity band is not something we invented. It is a long standing convention used by adjusters and plaintiff attorneys, documented in bar association materials and claims handling literature.
